Billing & Plans

These terms apply if you buy a paid List-It plan or feature. They form part of our Terms of Service. Operator: Bay Web Co Limited t/a List-It.

Plans

List-It offers a free plan and paid business plans (the AI-Ready Listing) plus optional paid features (e.g. featured placement, the makers' "Stalls" marketplace). Current prices and what each plan includes are shown on our Pricing page. Prices are in NZD and include GST where applicable.

Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We don't store your full card details. By subscribing you authorise us (via Stripe) to charge your chosen payment method for the plan and any renewals.

Free trial

List-It Max starts with a 14 day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You are not charged during the trial. When the 14 days end, the plan converts automatically to a paid annual subscription at the price shown on the Pricing page at the time you signed up ($149 +GST per year at the date of these terms), charged to the payment method you provided, unless you cancel first.

You can cancel at any time during the trial from your dashboard and you will not be charged. Cancelling during the trial ends Max access at the end of the trial period; your free listing is unaffected and stays free forever. One trial per business.

If your payment method fails at the end of the trial, the subscription is cancelled and the listing returns to the free plan.

What the annual fee covers

The annual fee is for an ongoing service, not a one-off fix. It covers monthly re-checking of your listing, website and online footprint, updates we make to the structure of your List-It listing as AI engines and search engines change what they read, and supply of refreshed code for your own website when those requirements change.

What we do not promise: we cannot and do not guarantee that any AI assistant or search engine will recommend, rank or mention your business, or that any particular score will be reached or maintained. Those systems are controlled by third parties and change without notice. What we commit to is the work described above, done for as long as you subscribe.

Get AI-Ready overhaul ($999 +GST, one-off) and its guarantee

The $999 overhaul is a done-for-you service carried out by Bay Web Co on the website you already have. It includes a full year of List-It Max at no extra charge.

The guarantee. On every page we work on, we will get Google's Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) into the green, and the website portion of your List-It AI-Ready score green. If a page we worked on is not there when we hand it back, we keep working on it at no extra cost until it is.

The stated exception. Where a third-party service you have chosen to keep (a booking widget, live chat, call tracking, an ad or analytics tag) caps a score, that portion sits outside our control. We identify those before starting, tell you what they cost you, and get as close as the platform allows. The guarantee does not extend to scores held down by third-party code you have asked us to keep, or to changes made to the site by you or anyone else after handover.

Measurement. Scores are measured with Google Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights on the pages we worked on, and with your List-It AI-Ready score, at handover. Google's field data (CrUX) reflects real visitor traffic and can take around 28 days to catch up, so it is not the measure the guarantee is settled on.

Auto-renewal & cancellation

Paid plans are subscriptions that automatically renew each term (monthly or annually, as selected) until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard; cancellation stops the next renewal and your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period. We'll email a reminder before annual renewals where required.

Refunds

• Change of mind: paid plans are generally non-refundable once the period has started, but we may give a pro-rata refund or credit at our discretion. Just ask.
• Your rights: nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply. If a paid feature isn't delivered or is faulty, contact us and we'll put it right (refund, credit, or fix).
• Annual plans: if you cancel mid-term, the plan runs to the end of the paid year unless we agree otherwise.

Price changes

We may change prices or plan features. We'll give existing subscribers reasonable notice before a change affects their renewal; continuing after the change means you accept it.

Featured placement & fairness

Paid "featured" placement is marked as such and capped in density so the directory stays useful and isn't pay-to-play. Paid status does not buy fake reviews, fake AI scores, or misleading claims.

Failed payments & suspension

If a payment fails, we may retry, then downgrade the listing to the free plan until payment succeeds. Featured/paid benefits pause while payment is outstanding.

Tax

You're responsible for any taxes on your own business activity. We account for GST on our fees as required.
